Biochemistry basement excavations finished
The event was commemorated by a very informal 'bottoming out' ceremony last week
The current project will complete the world-class new facilities for the Biochemistry department; its first phase was finished in 2008. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2020.
A more formal 'topping out' ceremony with departmental and University stakeholders will take place when the building's structure reaches its highest point.
