Become a partner

We achieve this by establishing and maintaining close partnerships. Our team of FM professionals works hard to gain an in-depth understanding of each customer's requirements and priorities. We provide quality food in cafes and friendly reception staff, organise building repairs and maintenance, ensure the timely arrival of post and implement and review health and safety standards, as well as many other services.

We also appreciate that different buildings require different types and levels of help, so our first step is to meet with you to understand what you require and discuss a service that works for your building, according to your needs and budget.

This is why we offer a variety of support, from help with only a few service areas, to full building management. This approach enables us to create a great customer experience which is wholly tailored to your needs.

What we do

We’re proud to deliver these services to many types of customers, both internal and external to the university. To do this well and respond quickly to their changing needs, we are structured into business units headed up by industry specialists who work collaboratively within and across business units.

FM Operations deliver a range of operational and strategic FM services, with an eye on the bottom line for our customers. Our Senior Building Managers and their teams - who you will see out and about in your buildings - come under this business unit.

FM Contracts work with departments to get exceptional results from contracts ensuring they save departments, and the University, both time and money. Our key contracts are catering, cleaning and waste. Find out more here about contract management.

The Shared FM Services team is an integral part of FM. By joining up administrative functions such as the Mail Service, University Card Office and the FM Helpdesk, to name but a few, we are able to save time and money whilst delivering a better experience for our customers.

The Oxford University Events Venue team is made up of venue professionals who know the local, national and international events scene and have extensive experience to draw upon from Oxfordshire, London and the rest of the UK and beyond. They work closely with customers to identify the most profitable use of their space, helping them to hire this out for events. Visit the OUEV website.

We deliver savings for our customers and the University

We never lose sight of the fact we need to demonstrate value for money for all our customers. As a result, substantial savings and investments continue to be made across our business units.

Did you know?

The University Mail Service is a good example of how FM is helping to save the University money. The service saves customers an average of £5000 a year.

The Compass at Oxford catering contract has also brought £2.2m investment into the University with ongoing year on year investment of £54,000 planned over the next eight years.

While with revenues exceeding £1.5m, the profits from our venues business - Oxford University Event Venues - are reinvested back into improving the fabric of the buildings, as well as given to our customers.
