Marston cycle path resurfaced
The University has paid for the resurfacing of around 400 metres of the Marston Cycle Path, which provides a valuable sustainable transport link between central Oxford and the Science Area with Marston and Headington
The work was done in early October; the resurfaced area stretches between Linacre College and the first bridge over the Cherwell. The University provided £20,000 from the Green Travel Fund, which is itself funded by charges for parking permits around the University estate. Around the same time the Sustainable Travel team also funded the construction of extra cycle racks at the Pear Tree Park & Ride.
