Wytham foresters make landscape improvements over winter
The team of foresters working at Wytham Woods have spent the last few months making various long-term improvements to the landscape there
The newly installed bike racks
This has included renovating pathways throughout the Woods, including the Dell, the Singing Way and Five Sisters paths; adding bike racks and levelling the ground in the Sawmill car park; and installing passing places along the road up Keeper’s Hill towards the Sawmill from Wytham village.
These jobs will greatly improve the site’s accessibility in all conditions – for example the car park has tended to get very muddy in winter, and should now be more usable in wet weather.
