Print Studio invests in poster-printing capabilities

The Print Studio team are now offering customers a better and more consistent service after replacing both their large-format printers.

The two new Canon units can produce posters, banners and other large items with a variety of finishes, including a durable waterproof coating that will stand up to the elements for several weeks.

This means customers all over the University and beyond can get their message out into the great outdoors, confident of the same high-quality result every time.

The Print Studio has also taken on a new team member, Peter Reed, who will lead on all large-format printing work.

The team acquired a second identical poster printer last year, but have now opted to replace both units to provide complete consistency of quality and output as well as increasing capacity to help handle jobs of any size.

Replacing both printers at the same time also had financial benefits, enabling the team to negotiate a deal with Canon that has significantly lower running costs.

Based in the UAS Offices at Wellington Square, the Print Studio are the University’s in-house print and design specialists, and their services are available at competitive rates to all staff and students.

The friendly team can help with projects big or small – from producing thousands of flyers along with banners and other assets for a major marketing campaign, to dissertations, small runs of posters or brochures promoting an event, or sets of University business cards. With the Print Studio’s buying power, they can also supply and deliver items such as paper and envelopes for your departmental use.

They can print customers’ own finished content, or work with them to create a design that meets their needs. They also work with Mail Service colleagues to have the finished results sent anywhere in the University or beyond. The paper they use is FSC certified, all packaging is reusable or recyclable, and their work is carbon balanced through the World Land Trust.
