It’s back! The third annual Science Wonder Garden Party is happening on Saturday 21 June at Begbroke Science Park – and once again it’s free.
The Walled Garden will be filled with free, fun hands-on activities, including experiments, interactive talks, trails, exploratory games and art and science workshops.
Visitors of all ages can join in with a huge range of activities including:
- having your picture drawn by a robot caricaturist
- digging for artifacts with Oxford Archaeology
- live talks from Oxford Sparks – including the forgotten earthquakes of central Asia, the colourful world of diabetes research, and clouded leopard conservation
- discovering meteorites with Space Store (2-4pm)
- meeting scientists based at Begbroke Science Park and looking down a microscope to see neurons up close
Free hot dogs and burgers will also be on offer from 12:30pm, on a first-come first-served basis until supplies run out, with a vegan option available too. You’re also very welcome to bring your own picnic along to enjoy.
