At the end of 2019, the Capital Projects team published its new Guide to Capital Building Projects

This aims to share knowledge and provide departments, divisions and other stakeholders with clearer and more consistent guidance on how major building projects are delivered, the numerous stages involved, the roles of the project team and stakeholders, and the University’s governance procedures.
It also provides insight into many other aspects of a capital project, such as VAT treatment, dealing with external regulators and the procurement process.
Before publication, the Guide was the subject of an extensive consultation with divisional representatives and University senior officers, which resulted in several changes to improve clarity and provide more information.
