Provided by Critical Arc, SafeZone will offer 24-hour services to help keep staff and students safe.
This includes:
- Mass notifications, in the event of emergency incidents taking place
- Allowing staff and students to notify Security Services and college porters in when they need emergency, first aid or non-urgent help
SafeZone is used at universities across the UK and around the world, and is fully GDPR-compliant.
Initial briefings have started taking place with colleges to provide information about the functionality on offer.
The service is expected to be rolled out over the course in Michaelmas term, and more information will be shared in the near future - via this webpage and internal communications channels.
Work is also taking place to ensure alignment with the MyOxford app, which also includes alert functionality.
